I worked for this round of upgrades. I'll bet even if you don't have a calculator handy you can figure out this was financially painful. I won't take up a bunch of your time here whining about that, but it does figure greatly in my saying this trip to the truck doctor was a very big deal for me.

Since June, the last round of updates (the web page hopefully you got here from) I have either been saving up for parts or saving up for the labor to install them. I do not even come close to having suitable tools or facilities to do this kind of work myself.

Mark, the owner of Mark's Auto Service in Tallahassee, FL, and his chief Redneck 4x4 builder Rick (I have to pick at him, he is a Toyota 4x4 guy), teamed up again on this part of the on going saga that is The Glitch.

I have to say, Rick and Mark did an excellent job again.

Though it was not without a few glitches - you can surely believe that. I mean what you you expect, I didn't just make this trucks name up out of the blue. It earned it the old fashioned way. It worked for it.

Think I'm kidding? How about 10 days in the shop and 7 days on the rack to get this done - that's what it took. There was only ONE overnight delay for a part (the camber kit).

I have to tell you - there were times I thought I was going to pass out from either truck withdrawal or anticipation of getting it done. I just didn't know how I was going to make it through another day. Like I said, this stage of the upgrade plan was a very big deal to me. Besides, after a few days, I just plain old missed my truck !!

Speaking of this, I have to add a little extra appreciation for Rick who was the primary mechanic in this round. I gave him THREE PAGES of notes and parts lists when I gave him the keys. I visited him an average of two times a day after the three days it was . . . forecast, the work would take. And Rick never once punched me in the nose. Not even once !!

The poor guy. It probably didn't help any that Mark went with me for the test drive. I really felt for him standing there in the shop's driveway all puppy dog eyed and stuff as we drove away.

That test drive by the way, made every bit of the waiting and saving . . and whining, worthwhile. How worthwhile you ask? Well, one of the very last things Mark said to me as we pulled back into the shop to check torques after the test drive was: "Be kind of careful - you have plenty of power to break a LOT of parts."

I figure that is about the best compliment a guy can get from a mechanic. I am one happy guy.

Well enough for now, lets look at some pictures ! Below them I'll try and put in the appropriate naritive, but if you have questions about something you see that I do not address feel free to drop me an e-mail and ask.

Enjoy . . I hope.

That fellow is 6-feet tall.
Plus boots.

'can't help but wonder
if that stump he hit was under water.

I'll type more as my motivation and attention span allow. . . . .
