| Like most folks who have tried Kayaking, we have become obsessed. It started out innocently enough. Our bike club (Suwannee Bicycle Association) organizes canoeing and kayaking trips for it's members to participate in. Being a pretty close knit group, even though there are a bunch of members, when our friends began raving about their kayaks, we listened. I guess the rest as they say, is history. We are telling ourselves that since we have only been into kayaking since about Christmas, having FOUR boats among TWO people is not too bad. Hey, Suzanne even donated a very nice Wilderness Systems Manteo to SBA, and it wasn' until last month that she bought her first fiber glass Current Designs Pachena (I call it a Pancreas). We even let the kids think some of the boats are theirs. That's not excessive is it? Does it count that we actually paddle a lot? Speaking of paddling, we have made a couple of trips we would like to share with you. Along the way, you will get to see the boats, some astounding scenes from the rivers and stuff, and most importantly, you will get to see us and the puppies . . . I mean kids. Lets get going with the links, and thanks for visiting with us a while. |
| Here are some words and pictures from our trip recently to the Suwannee River, we had a BLAST. Please remember to click on the pictures after they have loaded for a larger view. Don't forget to come back here though, because if you will scroll on down past the little dude paddling the boat back and forth across your screen, you will find a few links to off site - sites you might enjoy visiting. Wow, was that actually proper english "off site - sites" ? What is the world coming to . . . | |
